Porsche diecast models in India run from about Rs 500 for a 1:64 Bburago to over Rs 20,000 for a 1:18 AUTOart. The two things that decide where you land are scale and licensing. Bigger scale means more metal and more opening panels. An official Porsche licence adds a chunk to the sticker without necessarily adding detail.

This guide covers what you actually get in each price band, which brands are worth your money in India, and how to avoid overpaying for a model that photographs better than it feels in hand.

How much does a Porsche diecast cost in India?

Real prices from Indian retailers as of late 2026. Treat these as approximate. Diecast pricing in India swings with import duty and stock availability.

  • Rs 400 to Rs 1,000 — 1:64 scale. Bburago Porsche 911 GT2 RS around Rs 499. Bburago 911 GT3 in 1:64 around Rs 695. Small, sealed body, no opening doors. Roughly 7 cm long.
  • Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 — 1:32 and entry 1:64 collector models. Mini GT 1:64 Porsche models sit around Rs 1,099 to Rs 1,199. Aetron's 1:32 Porsche 911 GT3 is Rs 1,199 with opening doors, lights and sound.
  • Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,500 — 1:24 licensed models. Bburago Porsche 911 Carrera S in 1:24 with an acrylic case sits around Rs 2,595. Tarmac Works and premium Mini GT releases reach Rs 4,499 for rarer castings.
  • Rs 5,000 to Rs 12,000 — 1:18 mid-tier. Maisto, Welly GT Autos, and some Bburago Signature 1:18 Porsches.
  • Rs 15,000 and up — 1:18 collector grade. Norev Porsche 911 992 GT3 listings in India run roughly Rs 16,995 to Rs 19,995. AUTOart and Minichamps go higher again.

The jump from Rs 1,500 to Rs 17,000 does not buy you ten times the car. It buys you photo-etched badges, carpeted interiors, functioning steering and a resin or composite body. Real improvements, but sharply diminishing returns unless you are collecting seriously. Which Porsche models are easiest to find in India?

Not every Porsche gets cast. Indian availability skews heavily toward a handful of hero cars.

911 GT3 and GT3 RS

The most cast Porsche in the world, and the most available here. Every brand from Bburago to Norev does a version. The 992-generation GT3 with its swan-neck rear wing is the current default. If you want one Porsche on a shelf, this is the one you will find in every scale and every budget.

911 Carrera and Turbo S

Widely available in 1:24 and 1:18. Less dramatic than the GT3 but the cleaner shape ages better on a desk.

911 GT2 RS

Common in 1:64 from Bburago at low prices. Harder to find in larger scales in India without importing.

Taycan, Cayenne, Macan

Thin on the ground. The Taycan gets occasional 1:18 and 1:43 releases. Porsche SUVs are cast far less than the 911, so expect to import or pay a premium.

Classic 930, 964, 993

Tarmac Works and Mini GT cover the air-cooled era well in 1:64. Miniature Toy Shop and Kollectibles stock them in India. Prices climb fast because runs are limited and collectors hold them.

Bburago

The volume leader in India. Officially licensed, widely stocked, sensible prices. The trade-off is finish quality: panel gaps are loose, paint is thin, and interiors are basic plastic. Excellent at Rs 500 in 1:64. At Rs 2,595 in 1:24 you are paying a fair amount for the Porsche licence and the display case.

Maisto

Similar tier to Bburago with a stronger 1:18 lineup. Special Edition 1:18 models offer a lot of physical size per rupee. Detail is average, but for sheer presence on a shelf it is hard to beat.

Mini GT and Tarmac Works

The best small-scale diecast you can buy in India. Tampo printing is razor sharp, wheels are accurate, and stances are correct. They are 1:64, so at Rs 1,100 to Rs 4,500 you are paying premium money for a 7 cm car. Worth it if you value accuracy over size. Kollectibles, Krazy Jackal and Horizon Diecast carry them.

Norev, AUTOart, Kyosho, Minichamps

Collector territory. Norev is the value entry at roughly Rs 17,000 to Rs 20,000 for a 1:18 992 GT3. AUTOart is the benchmark for detail. These are display pieces, not toys. Do not hand one to a child.

Aetron

Our own. The Aetron Porsche 911 GT3 in 1:32 is Rs 1,199 with a zinc-alloy body, ~13.9 cm long, ~240 g, both doors opening, LED headlights, engine sound and a pull-back motor. Three LR44 cells are included. What we do not have is a Porsche factory licence, so the badging is generic. 1:32 vs 1:24 vs 1:18: which Porsche scale should you buy?

Scale decides shelf space, price and how the model feels.

  • 1:64 — About 7 cm. Cheap to start, easy to display in volume. No opening parts at any price.
  • 1:32 — About 14 cm. The sweet spot for a first serious diecast. Big enough for opening doors and a real interior, small enough to sit on a desk without dominating it.
  • 1:24 — About 19 to 21 cm. Noticeably more presence. Prices start around Rs 1,800 and climb quickly.
  • 1:18 — About 25 cm. Serious display object. Rs 5,000 minimum for anything decent, Rs 15,000+ for detail that justifies the shelf.

Specialist stores are where the good stuff is. Scale Arts India, Kollectibles, Horizon Diecast, Krazy Jackal, Miniature Toy Shop and The Peppy Store all stock licensed Porsche models across scales. Shipping is typically 3 to 7 days. Superhero Toy Store runs frequent discounts on Bburago and Mini GT.

Amazon and Flipkart carry Bburago and Maisto but listing quality is inconsistent and counterfeits do appear in the Rs 300 to Rs 800 band. Check seller ratings and look for actual product photos rather than press renders.

What to check before you pay

  • Weight. A real 1:32 diecast should feel dense. Around 240 g is normal. If the listing does not state weight, ask.
  • Body material. Zinc alloy for the shell is standard. Plastic bumpers and mirrors are normal even on expensive models.
  • Opening parts. Listings often say "openable doors" and deliver one door. Confirm the count.
  • Licence. Officially licensed models carry Porsche crests and correct model names. Unlicensed ones use generic badging. Neither is dishonest as long as the listing is clear about it.
  • Batteries. Light-and-sound models need LR44 cells. Some sellers ship without them.
  • Age rating. Collector 1:18 models have fragile mirrors and photo-etched parts. Anything for a child under 8 should be a sub-Rs 2,000 toy-grade model.

The short answer

Buying for a child or as a gift under Rs 1,500: a 1:32 with opening doors and working lights gives the most perceived value per rupee. Buying for a desk: 1:24 licensed Bburago or a Mini GT 1:64 if accuracy matters more than size. Buying to collect: save up and go straight to Norev or AUTOart in 1:18. Buying three cheap models to "see how it goes" usually ends with three cheap models in a drawer.
